城市大学

城市大学成立于1894年，于1966年获得英国皇室特许状。百多年来，承载着技能和奉献精神，城市大学一直在用教育，科研和进取心来改变着学生，群体和我们的世界生活。大学主校区历史悠久的学院大楼坐落在伊斯灵顿的北安普顿广场大学，并拥有其他几个位于伦敦市中心的学术场所。它不仅在欧洲，在全世界也一直是声名远扬的。

作为一所享有国际声誉的多学科综合性大学，城市大学全面开设各种专业、优秀、高质量的课程，给学生提供了全方位的发展。学校在15个学术领域的研究活动水平可以与世界先进水平媲美，它提供的课程有商务管理、计算机、工程、保健、法律、数学、音乐、社会科学及语言课程等，也拥有完善的现代化设施，包括免费国际互连网设施、实验室、教室、图书馆和计算机设备等。

本科生占了三分之二，研究生占三分之一。成人学生的比例也相当高。近三分之一的学生是分别来自157个国家的国际学生。

学术优势

学校有16个教育科目如金融、会计、人文建筑、法学、心理学、IT、高分子材料等等被英国高等教育质量保障局（QAA）评为优秀。

就英国而言，城市大学的就业率排名前五，尤其以卡斯商学院而在国际上享有一定声誉。卡斯商学院 (Cass Business School)，或按官方称呼为伦敦城约翰·卡斯爵士商学院(The Sir John Cass Business School, City of London)教授的是实用金融课程。学院的课程以其与金融业紧密结合及务实的特性著称，以银行、保险、证券、基金、会计和地产和金融风险管理专业见长。

学院拥有国际化、高水平的教学设施，教学、研究都与金融企业保持着密切的联系。该校商学院通过了"AACSB", "EQUIS", "AMBA" 三大国际权威商学院认证。CFA和英国精算师协会是卡斯商学院的合作机构，学生顺利完成金融类课程后，参加ACCA或CIMA能获得大部分课程免考。

大学位于伦敦金融城内，和周遭金融公司有密切的往来，最常办的就是公司演讲及各金融领域讲座，让学生了解这些公司及各金融领域与未来的发展，定期举办写CV与Cover letter及面试技巧。不少毕业生就业于高盛、Morgan Stanley、微软、普华永道、Barclays、loyal TSB、毕马威、德勒、IBM等，也有重量级比如汇丰银行HSBC的董事或执行长来学校演讲。

而卡斯商学院的无工作经验金融学硕士（Masters in Finance Pre-experience）在2013年的金融时报排名中位居世界第16位（共有40所商学院参与评比）。学院MBA项目在2014年的金融时报排名上分别为世界第41名。

校园环境

伦敦城市大学坐落于伦敦市中心北侧的英国金融中心和著名的欧洲商业区，通过伦敦的机场可以非常方便的到达，并且你也可以从这里的国际机场便捷的到达欧洲各国。

主校园在Clerkenwell，正在Islington和伦敦城与圣保罗大教堂之间。不少国家艺术场馆，例如Sadlers Wells和the Barbican，都在此地，所以这里有世界一流的舞蹈、音乐、剧院、美术馆、电影和博物馆，还有众多的酒吧、商店和餐厅。除了护理与助产术专业在Whitechapel，学校的其他各教学建筑与宿舍彼此之间都在步行距离内。不过乘地铁或公共汽车从Whitechapel到主校园也很快。新的学生宿舍已经投入使用，距主校园二十分钟的路程。

该校步行范围内，世界五百强公司林立。其东侧是四大律师学院、世界著名商贸公司总部、各大公司律师事务所和各媒体公司的所在地。其附近还有若干著名的医科大学医院、国家艺术中心和剧院等等。搭公共汽车或地铁二十分钟，你就可以到伦敦西区（West End）、科文特哥登（Covent Garden）或者泰晤士河南岸（the South Bank），去领略那里多姿多彩的娱乐生活。该大学有一个藏书333,000余册的主图书馆和2个分科图书馆；可供学生使用的专用光盘、录像带、磁带和密纹唱片；以及可通过计算机和因特网查阅的全部藏书目录。计算机设施24小时对学生开放，包括500部PC机和90个Unix工作台。计算机网络与各系和学生宿舍联通。

设施服务

院校设施

主图书馆共有五层，收藏了35万册书籍、1800份期刊、10万份杂志和大量的电子与在线信息。商业与艺术政策、射线照相术与护理和助产术还分别有专门的图书馆。

学校为全体学生提供计算机设施和技术支持。校内分别有600台安装了Windows和90台Linux工作站的计算机供学生使用。学生宿舍里也可以上网。

保健中心就健康问题给予学生建议，指导他们就近求诊。伦敦城市大学的验光系非常著名，开展全面的眼科服务。

城市大学

Saddlers体育中心有心血管锻炼和力量练习器械，并开设有氧舞蹈、瑜珈和武术等辅导班。这里还有一个大型的室内体育馆和几个壁球场。在伦敦其他地方可以使用别的体育设施，包括帆船、橄榄球、曲棍球、足球、网球和板球等。

学生会有许多俱乐部和会社、一个超市、一个旅游服务部、一个学生报社、一个剧场、两个酒吧、一个咖啡厅、商店以及若干个学习及会议室。

学生会全年都举行竞技性体育运动-足球、橄榄球和篮球等等，许多其他运动队还会到国内各地和其他大学进行比赛。

学生生活

城市大学学生会活力十足，是学校社交生活的中心组织。所有注册了的学生都自动成为学生会成员（免费），并鼓励他们积极参与学生会的活动。

50多个学生俱乐部和社团、《Massive》杂志和一家酒吧都设在学生会楼里。白天Saddlers酒吧是深受学生欢迎的饮食中心，也是放松的理想场所；晚上这里就是尽情享受伦敦众多的娱乐活动的起点。

学生会里还有一家专门出售品牌商品和文具的商店，以及一台24小时DVD出租器。

城市大学

开年第一周学生会会举办新生展览会，使学生了解并有机会参加由学生会出资的各俱乐部与社团。. 学校的俱乐部超过50个，包括的活动从橄榄球、武术和水下运动到滑雪板、戏剧、投资和募捐等等，非常丰富。几个国际与宗教社团全年都主办社交活动。如果学生感兴趣的活动不在俱乐部和社团范畴以内，学生会也可以帮助他们成立自己的俱乐部。

入学要求

本科预科

由于中英两国教育体制存在差异，中国普通高中毕业生必须先完成时长一年的英国本科预科，才能开始本科课程学习。伦敦城市大学是最早开设预科的英国大学之一，积累了大量的教学经验，而且所有课程都在大学本部进行，以保证一流的教学品质。

开学时间：每年1月、9月

本科条件

高中毕业或同等学历；成绩优良和有力的推荐信。

圆满修完a-level，必须通过UCAS(Universities and Colleges Admissions Service)，即英国高等院校招生办公室在线申请。或修完国际预科，成绩优良。由于国际学生名额有限，建议尽早申请。

IELTS成绩6.5或其它同等英语水平证明。

开学时间：每年9月

研究生条件

优等大学本科毕业，成绩优良和有力的推荐信。

IELTS成绩6.5或7.0以上，有些需要提供GMAT，随学科不同而异。

平均成绩80%-85%以上。

有些课程要求有工作经历；可能需要电话测试或在中国面试。

开学时间：每年9月

奖学金

城市大学为本科生和研究生设置了大量奖学金和奖项。有的是由慈善机构、城市大学的前毕业生、个别学校和其他机构慷慨出资设立的，每学年学生们都可以申请。

住宿

城市大学的学生宿舍的房间很现代化，起居间非常舒适。所有的学生宿舍都是膳食自理型，并且只有一栋宿舍不在大学的步行范围内。每个房间内都有电话和计算机接口，宿舍工作人员在上班时间外也随叫随到，为学生提供帮助与建议。

学校保证为所有一年级的国际本科生提供宿舍（他们在入住宿舍时已年满18周岁，在5月15日前确定接受城市大学的录取，并另外单独申请学校宿舍）。研究生宿舍有三处，均为膳食自理型。

学校的住宿服务部为全体在校生和有意来此就读的学生提供信息和建议，帮助他们找到合适的私人寓所。
